How to Manage Budgets
Learn how to create and manage monthly budgets

Navigate to Budgets Page
Access the Budgets section from the main menu

- •Click on 'Budgets' in the navigation menu
- •View your current monthly budget allocations

Select Budget Type
Choose between single month or month range budgets

- •Single Month: Budget for one specific month
- •Month Range: Budget covering multiple months

Choose Expense Category
Select the category you want to budget for

- •Browse through available expense categories
- •Create new categories if needed
- •Consider your spending patterns

Set Budget Amount
Enter the amount you want to allocate

- •Set realistic amounts based on your income
- •Consider your financial goals
- •Leave room for unexpected expenses

Configure Month(s)
Select the month or month range for your budget
Additional Details
- •For single month: Select the specific month
- •For month range: Select start and end months
- •Ensure dates align with your financial planning

Set Spending Dates for Cash Flow (Optional)
Tell the app when you plan to spend this budget so it appears correctly on the Cash Flow page
Additional Details
- •After creating or editing a budget, click 'When to spend (cash flow)' or 'Spending schedule'
- •Choose 'Single day' to plan the full amount on one date, or 'Date range (linear spending)' to spread it over several days
- •With a date range, the remaining budget is split evenly across each day (e.g. $300 over 10 days = $30/day on Cash Flow)
- •Past dates use your actual transactions; future dates show this planned rate so you can see your projected cash flow

Save Budget
Review and save your budget allocation
Additional Details
- •Double-check all settings
- •Click 'Create Budget' to save
- •Your budget will appear in your monthly overview
